Make A Circuit With Me - The Polecats, 1982

A sweet romance is not for me
I need electricity
If you wanna make me flip
Hit me with a micro chip

[Chorus]
I'll be a diode, cathode, electrode
Overload, generator, oscillator
Make a circuit with me

Just plug in and go-go-go
I'll be a human dynamo
Signals in my power cord
Impulse on my circuit board

I'm an AC/DC man
You can read my circuit diagram
I feed on electric jolts
I need fifty-thousand volts

A sweet romance is not for me
I really need electricity
If you wanna make me flip
Come on and hit me with a micro chip

I'm an AC/DC man
You can read my circuit diagram
I feed on electric jolts
I need fifty-thousand volts

Originally founded as "Cult Heros" in 1977, the name sounded too punk for the Rockabilly venues they wanted to play in. They settled on "The Polecats" (a polecat is a species of weasel, found primarily in Europe). Over the years, the band released 11 albums with different 10 labels, starting with Nervous Records in 1979.

Rockabilly is a style of music that derives its name from Rock 'n Rock and Hillbilly (early country music). There are also strong influences from Swing, Boogie Woogie and Blues. Rockabilly music has its roots in such stalwart artists as: Bill Haley & His Comets, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley. A later resurgence included Dave Edmunds & Nick Lowe, and, of course, the Stray Cats.

Rockabilly music wouldn't be diddly-squat, however, without the stand-up, or Double Bass .

Yeehaw.
