Giorgio Moroder wrote "Together in Electric Dreams" for the feature film, Electric Dreams. Both were released in 1984, but the single was far more popular than the film - a rather lame tale of a home PC that takes over an apartment, and falls in love with the girl upstairs. Actually a very young Virginia Madsen starred as the love interest, so it wasn't all that bad.
The song is actually performed by Philip Oakey, lead singer of The Human League. You might remember some of their hits like "Don't You Want Me".... ah, the 80s - how I've tried to forget 'em.
