Marilyn sits on an outcrop at low tide. It's a little known fact that mermaids like to suntan every now and again, similar to the way humans might take a dip in the ocean.

She has found a cache of old wine bottles, and solid gold goblets from an old shipwreck. Gold means absolutely nothing to a mermaid, but the wine tastes pretty good.

More out of modesty, than anything else, she wears a pair of shells to cover up - you never know when the odd fisherman will pass by while your eyes are closed...

Artist's comment: This was a cross-medium experiment. Unfortunately, the slight shrinking of the clear resin caused the water to pull away from the rock etc. Although not perfect, you can still see most of the underwater detail.
