This wasn't really about a mad scientist, but rather an opening for a short-lived children's program, the Activ-8-tors. Immediately after flying through a brightly lit window, the viewer is brought inside of an old U. of T. building, where the animation ends, and live action starts.

I carefully matched the window on the top of my mansion, to the real-life window. This helped with the impression of actually being inside. It's too bad the show didn't last long, I was looking forward to more animation involving this spooky house up on a foggy hill.
